Chai Tea









Chai tea has boomed in popularity in the past few years and is now one of the most requested types of tea available at The Tea Centre.
There are currently 6 varieties of chai tea available in store and online...


Chai Masala
This chai is from Northern India/Kashmir and has cinnamon, cardamon, ginger and rose petals within the blend.
Brewing
This tea is brewed with 50% water 50% milk.
  1. Pour tea (1 teaspoon per cup)into saucepan, 
  2. Add milk & water and bring to boil
  3. Serve in tall glass with sugar or honey.
If you prefer your tea black brew this chai for 2-4mins.


Chai vanilla is delicious combination of black tea, vanilla, cinnamon, liquorice, orange peel, fennel & cardamom.
This is the perfect chai if you have a little bit of a sweet tooth!
Brewing
This chai can be brewed like the masala chai, with a dash of milk or black however for something different try brewing your tea and adding hot frothy milk to it. The sweetness of this chai lends itself well too the latte style method.




Rooibos Chai
If you want a decaf chai option rooibos chai will be perfect for you.This tea contains rooibos, cinnamon, anise, fennel, ginger, cloves & black peppercorns and is perfect with a hint of honey for sweetness.
Brewing
This chai is delicious served black but if you are a milk lover this tea can be serve with milk.





Mumbai Chai
This is one of the most popular varieties of chai because of its array of spices and it's hint of vanilla. This chai contains black tea, orange peel, fennel, cinnamon, liquorice, juniper berries, cloves, cardamom, vanilla, ginger & green peppercorns.
Brewing
This chai can be cooked on the stove following the same directions as the masala chai or can be served black or with a dash of milk.



Green Chai
Green chai is perfect for all those green tea lovers out there. This chai has is packed full of flavour with green tea, cinnamon, anis, fennel, ginger, cloves and black peppercorns.
Brewing
Green chai is at it's best when no milk is added all you need to do is simply brew for around 2min and is delicious with honey.





Oriental Chai
This chai is has a very full flavour filled with black tea, cinnamon, anis, fennel, ginger, cloves & black peppercorns. The fine spices in this blend make it one of the spiciest in our range.
Brewing
This chai can be cooked on the stove following the same directions as the masala chai or can be served black or with a dash of milk. Add a little honey if you want a sweeter brew.
If you want a really authentic chai try replacing the milk with condensed milk and cook on the stove.
